In God's Time

"There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to rebuild. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. "

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4NLT

God blesses in the midst of suffering

"Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
Psalm 126:5-6

For he has not ignored the suffering of the needy. He has not turned and walked away. He has listened to their cries for help.
Psalm 22:24

Those who suffer the same things from the same people for the same Person can scarcely not love each other.
C. S. Lewis"

Suffering—the soil of spiritual growth "The Bible does not promise that Christians won't suffer. In fact, the Scriptures give much evidence that we can expect to suffer, given the evil that is in the world around us and the sin that is in us. What God does promise is that our suffering can become the catalyst for new growth. God promises to redeem our suffering into his glory. What griefs are you currently suffering? Can you entrust them to God, confident that he will use them to bring new growth into your life? The worst kind of suffering is that which we experience alone. When we suffer with another person who is sympathetic to our problem, the suffering is easier to bear. Throughout history, God has sympathized with suffering people. He hears our cries. How would your life and outlook be different if you become convinced that God never failed to respond to your pain.

God's Promises

In the midst of darkness, God comforts us with His everlasting words..

"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. - Daniel 3:17

"Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God whose dwelling is holy. - Psalm 68:5

"I am the one who creates the light and makes the darkness. I am the one who sends good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things. - Isaiah 45:7

"Darkness before Dawn"

- the time of the day where the darkest hours lies, just shortly before light pours over the land.
- endure through the dark times, and you will see the light of hope.

Absence makes the Heart grow Fonder

Meaning

The lack of something increases the desire for it.

Origin

The Roman poet Sextus Propertius gave us the earliest form of this saying in Elegies:

"Always toward absent lovers love's tide stronger flows."

The contemporary version appears first as the title of an anonymous English poem in 1602. It wasn't until the 19th century that the phrase began to be used more widely, with Thomas Haynes Bayly's (1797-1839) song Isle of Beauty, published posthumously in 1850:

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder, Isle of Beauty, Fare thee well!"

思念, 是一种等待的感觉. 这感觉在呼吸的时候, 原来是会痛的.

True Beauty

In 1 Peter 3, Apostle Peter speaks of beauty of a woman.

".... it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." - 1 Peter 3:4

Learn to see the way God sees, and adapt the way God looks at the world. In Him, we guys will be able to find the true beauty that we've been looking for! haha

God in brunei

my friend was in my room sharing with me about how low and alone he was in the jungle during JCC. he flipped open the jcc survival handbook, and a note drop out reading:

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

and he shouted out loud: "God was there with me!"
